Red Fibre Gaskets absorbs the fluid they come in contact with and swell slightly making it suitable for sealing. In dry, low humidity environment Red Fibre Gaskets can also be used as a Low Voltage Electrical Insulation. These are low cost Gaskets, hence are mainly used in making inexpensive Washers and Spacers in Electrical applications etc.
